It’s fair to say that Henry is a little obsessed about the mountain. Since writing the first edition of the Kilimanjaro guide in 2001 he has climbed the mountain by all the major routes, and now leads treks up the mountain himself. And when he’s not on the mountain or checking out the local Tanzanian towns and agencies for the next edition, he can be found updating this website, trawling the web for Kilimanjaro memorabilia or looking in antiquarian bookstores for rare books on the mountain.

In summary, it’s fair to say he’s a bit of a nerd when it comes to the mountain - and proud of it!
